Xochipilli
MEXICO
Xochipilli is a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization that helps artisans to find permanent markets for their products. This organization benefits more than 800 families through training in marketing and product development skills. The beneficiaries include: lacquerware artisans from Olinalá, black pottery and cut- tin artisans from Oaxaca and ceramics artisans from Tonalá.
We purchase pressed ceramic nativity plates, ornaments, candleholders, lanterns, musical instruments and tableware from Xochipilli.

 Mexico is home to the largest city in the world, Mexico City. It was also the birthplace of many ancient civilizations. The spirit of the ancients carries on in the heart of the people, who worked hard to retain their indigenous culture even after the Spanish conquered the land.
Mexico's landscape includes deserts and beaches, small towns and large cities that are home to more than 60 indigenous groups. A country of renowned art and architecture, such as the Olmec Stone Heads, Mexico also confronts the problems of poverty and overpopulation.
